An Evening with Mela Yerka - Wednesday 25th May, 6.30 - 7pm

Please joins us for a very special evening with young artist Mela Yerka, hosted by the art dealer Maria Stenfors in her central London home.

Painting resides in a sphere of abstract thinking, irrespective of whether it is figurative or abstract. In Mela Yerka’s work, she experiments with a variety of materials, paints and techniques. Exploring different historical motifs and extending on her previous studies, Yerka demonstrates how her work expands on the possibilities and notion of painting, challenging herself, our ways of looking and art history. Mela Yerka was born in Poland and lives and works in London. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw, she graduated from Central St Martins College of Art, London, in 2011.

We will be hearing from Mela about her practice, her process and the inspirations that she takes. She’s a fantastic painter, and incredibly eloquent, so it’s a fantastic opportunity to get to know her and her works in more detail.

Tickets are £15. Free for members – please contact info@contemporarykey.co.uk for more details.
