Fig-2 at ICA - Thursday 22nd October, 6:30-8:30pm

We are very excited about this evening: itwill consist of a Private View with the curator, followed by a Curatorial Seminar (1hr) to understand more about the project.

Fig-2 is 2015’s most ambitious art project: curated by Fatos Ustek, Fig-2 presents 50 projects in 50 weeks. So far, artists have included Prem Sahib, Patrick Goddard and Broomberg & Chanarin.

The artists exhibiting are only revealed a week before their project, to ensure that all attention is on the artist of the week. Fig-2 is a revival of the project fig-1, which was conceived and developed by Mark Francis and Jay Jopling in 2000. Each project was programmed only a few weeks in advance to maintain as much spontaneity as possible, and it brought excitement and energy to the London art scene.

The Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) on Pall Mall is hosting the project – making sure that it is at the centre of relevant and academic contemporary art in the capital.

Join us for a glass of wine on the 22nd October when we explore a Scottish performance artist and painter’s work (We can’t reveal the name of the artist until the week before, to stay in line with Fig-2’s marketing) and understand more about the project and the concept of the inventive programme.

More information on Fig-2 can be found here.

Event is £22 for non-members, £15 for Contemporary Key members. Contemporary Key members please contact for payment.
