RODEO Gallery Private View - Wednesday 10th February, 6.30 - 8pm

There was great excitement when the Istanbul based gallery opened in London 18 months ago, and with good reason –  the gallery has an excellent programme supporting International artists and a beautiful central London location.

RODEO is currently showing as part of CONDO, and simultaneously a solo exhibition of new works by Shadi Habib Allah.

CONDO is a collaboration between 24 galleries, taking over 8 London gallery spaces for 6 weeks. Rodeo has collaborated with Callicoon Fine Arts in New York, and is showing Ramin HaerizadehRokni HaerizadehTamara HendersonJames HoffThomas KovachevichUlrike Müller and Hesam Rahmanian. Tamara Henderson’s works are especially brilliant and exciting to see.

This is a great opportunity to hear more about the initiative and the network of young galleries involved.

The upstairs gallery hosts new works by Shadi Habib Allah – a video looking at the history of ghosts in Israel’s old town, alongside objects examining the condition of ownership: a grandfather clock, a bent chandelier. Household objects that one learns to move around, and take for granted. The objects are reimagined and distorted is a way that is both alluring and beautiful.

Please join us for a drink and an insight into the exhibitions by the brilliant Sylvia Kouvali, Director of the gallery.
