Tom Lovelace creates environments and interventions that exist solely for the camera. Lovelace’s work challenges traditional notions of photography, presenting exquisite and progressive visual creations. His work intersects photography, sculpture and performance – continually surprising the viewer with his humour and innovative approach. Utilising everyday minimalist objects and materials, he reconsiders and reinvents, placing the camera in the primary audience position. The history of photography and its relationship with the disciplines of sculpture and performance underpin his research.
